The team behind VET4Africa
The initiators of the project
Go-ahead for Africa aid
African teachers learn in Wildpoldsried how kits for solar systems work.
The project aims to bring electricity to remote parts of Africa: Suitcases with kits for small solar systems - the idea of the initiators Günter Mögele, Willi Kirchensteiner and Manfred Wolf - should help to operate lamps and other electronic devices even without infrastructure. As reported, the necessary knowledge is to be taught to people from Africa in Wildpoldsried. A three-day training course was the go-ahead for the educational project. Organized by the Academy for Teacher Training and Personnel Management (ALP) in Dillingen and the Wildpoldsried Ecological Training Center, vocational school teachers from all over Bavaria learned how to explain the kits to Africans in the future.
The mentors at VET4Africa
The team of trainers consists mainly of vocational school teachers and combines didactic and professional skills in an optimal way. Regular further training guarantees the high professional level. The trainers also act as mentors for the African participants after their visit to the training courses in Wildpoldsried and support them on site in Africa in all problems that arise.
